Payson Panoramic Highway

Rim Country Classic Auto Club History

The Rim Country Classic Auto Club, as we know it today, had its beginnings back in 1993 when a few people had a common interest in restoring and driving classic cars. They cruised around Payson where they met and talked about their cars. The meeting places were Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pioneer Title and Phil White Ford parking lots. As the group flourished and the number of members grew, Phil White Ford became the main meeting place with the management providing a meeting room upstairs.

In 1994, Rim Country Classic Auto Club members decided to have their first annual car show to help charities in the town of Payson. Since then the Beeline Cruise-In Car Shows have been held in the following locations throughout the years: 1994 Pioneer Title, 1995 Payson Court House, 1996-97 Chapman Chevrolet, 1998-00 Payson High School Parking Lot, 2001-03 Mazatzal Casino Parking Lot, 2004-2008 Main Street, and since 2009 Green Valley Park.

The Rim Country Classic Auto Club (RCCAC) is a nonprofit, family-oriented organization who donates profits from the Annual Beeline Cruise-In Car Show to Payson area charities. The club offers many events and activities throughout the year.

Primarily, the club members, friends and others who share the love of old cars have a good time and to enjoy the many different experiences involved with appreciating old cars (owning, purchasing, driving, reselling, restoring, repairing, detailing, customizing, etc.). The club seeks to develop camaraderie within the membership and to promote the organization, not only within Payson, but throughout the Southwest.

Secondarily, as good citizens, the club members goal is to support local charities and the Payson business community. To that end, the car show activities and events are selected and developed with the focus of enhancing local business trade while, at the same time, increasing the car show proceeds which become our charitable donation.

One need not own any collector car to be part of the club.

To date, RCCAC has donated a total of approximately $330,000. Recipients of donations are chosen and voted on by the membership following the car show each year.
